I basically switch insurance provider every year for better deal

i pay $280 for comprehensive for my small car (coles) , and $360 for house insurance (AAMI)

House insurance is up 10% on every renewal .

Its a total rip off . After you switch , the original insurer will call you and try you offer you better deal to keep you with them. At this point you are in total control, you can ask them to match the offer you got from other provider ,the trick is , make the number up, say $50 minus your actual quote, if they match it , you get massive discount.  All insurance products are protected by 30 day cooling off period so the insurer will try their last effort to keep you

Repeat the process every year. Never renew the premium!!
