POLICE have advised that the Bruce Highway north of Brisbane will remain closed indefinitely after an earlier two-truck smash.
The accident, in the southbound lanes at North Lakes, occurred when a semi-trailer struck an overpass and then another truck smashed into the back of it. The accident occurred about 9.30am. One driver received a minor back injury in the crash. The southbound lanes of the Bruce Highway have been closed, with traffic diverted onto Anzac Avenue.

Engineers are inspecting the overpass and the Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
Lengthy delays are expected and police are urging motorists heading southbound to avoid the highway. More to come
